ORC Moves To Strike Off 453 Companies; 323 Others Dissolved November 4, 2026

The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has announced its intention to strike off 453 companies from the Register of Companies, while confirming that 323 other companies have been struck off and dissolved in accordance with the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).

The development is contained in two separate notices published in Volumes 48 and 49 of the ORC Companies Bulletin, both dated October 15, 2026, as part of the Office's ongoing regulatory and compliance enforcement measures.

ORC press release announcing the strike-off of 453 companies and dissolution of 323 companies

According to the ORC, the 453 companies are subject to strike-off proceedings pursuant to Section 289(3) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992). The notice of intention to strike off was published in Volume 48 of the Companies Bulletin, giving the affected companies a period of three months to show cause why their names should not be removed from the Register.

The Office indicated that unless sufficient cause is shown to the contrary within the stipulated period, the companies will be struck off the Register upon the expiration of the three months and will consequently stand dissolved.

In a separate notice, the ORC confirmed that 323 companies have already been struck off the Register and dissolved pursuant to Section 289(5) of Act 992.

The dissolution follows the expiration of the statutory period provided in an earlier notice published in Volume 40 of the ORC Companies Bulletin, without any cause having been shown to the contrary. The subsequent publication in Volume 49 confirms that the affected companies have been struck off and now stand dissolved.

The ORC is advising all affected companies, shareholders, creditors and other interested parties to take note of the notices and take the necessary steps to regularize their status, where applicable.

The Office further encourages stakeholders who require clarification or additional information regarding the notices to contact the ORC for assistance and guidance.

The publication of the notices forms part of the ORC's broader commitment to maintaining the accuracy, integrity and reliability of Ghana's Companies Register.

The Office remains committed to enforcing compliance with the country's corporate regulatory framework while promoting good corporate governance, accountability and transparency in the business environment.

For further enquiries, clarification or to obtain copies of the notices, the public may contact the ORC Call Centre on 0308 249 841 or WhatsApp/Telegram on 059 952 5774. Stakeholders may also connect with the Office through its official social media platforms, @ORC GHANA.
