The acting Registrar of Companies, Mrs. Maame Samma Peprah has paid a working visit to the Sunyani Zonal Office of the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC). The day’s visit which took place on Tuesday, 13th May, was part of a broader tour of zonal offices nationwide.
It was also aimed at deepening engagements with Regional staff, assessing operational challenges and ensuring targets are met.
Mrs. Peprah was accompanied by the Deputy Registrar of Companies, Mr. Benjamin Zigorsh-Nyakpenu, as well as some key members of the management team including Dr. Dennis Kyei Botwe, Head of Administration, Nana Afia Serwah Gyasi, Head of Human Resource and Constance Adomaa Takyi, Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication. Mrs. Peprah in her address, commended the staff for the stellar performance over the years and urged them to continue to improve on their performance.
“I had high expectations before embarking on this familiarization tour because of your performance records in the books, but you have exceeded my expectation,” she added
She announced that the new salary structure for staff was in progress and expressed optimism that a formalized condition of service document would be finalized within the next month.

The ROC (Registrar of Companies) further disclosed that the scheme of service has been approved by the Public Services Commission, laying a strong foundation for career development and progression within the ORC.
She underscored the need for the office to intensify efforts at ensuring that Companies comply with their statutory obligations, such as filing annual returns, updating company information, and maintaining proper corporate governance structures
Additionally, she reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening public education as a central strategy to enhance the brand visibility of ORC and urged zonal office to adopt sensitization on weekends an initiative she has introduced in Accra.
Mrs. Peprah encouraged staff to remain committed to the ORC’s mandate of promoting compliance and fostering a business-friendly environment in Ghana.
Welcoming the ROC and her delegation, the Zonal Registrar for Sunyani, Mrs. Herty Fosuaa Forson, expressed appreciation for the visit and underscored its importance for staff morale and operational improvement.
She provided an overview of the zonal office’s activities, highlighting achievements in company registration, business name renewals, and public education on compliance requirements. She assured the Registrar of exceeding their revenue targets set for this year.
During the visit, Mrs. Peprah and her Deputy held a closed door meeting with the Zonal Head, met Management, as well as held a staff durbar to listen to their concerns and suggestions for improvement.
She also toured the Sunyani office facilities, inspecting the front-office service area, records room and visited the site intended to permanently house the zonal office.
