Registrar Of Companies (RoC) Pays A Working Visit To Tamale Zonal Office

The acting Registrar of Companies, Mrs. Maame Samma Peprah has embarked on a working tour of the Tamale Zonal Office as part of efforts to strengthen internal engagement and enhance operational efficiency. The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 29th April, 2025, provided an opportunity for the RoC to engage with staff, understand their operational realities, and also helped her to assess at firsthand, their challenges and successes and offering support to the office in the discharge of its mandate.

Mrs. Peprah was accompanied by the Deputy Registrar of Companies, Mr. Benjamin Zigorsh-Nyakpenu, along with key members of the management team including Dr. Dennis Kyei Botwe, Head of Administration; Nana Afia Serwah Gyasi, Head of Human Resource; and Constance Adomaa Takyi, Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication.

During the visit, the delegation toured the office, interacted with staff at all levels, and listened to their experiences and concerns regarding workflow, client service, logistics, and staffing.

The Zonal Registrar, Mr. Ishmael Tetteh, Esq., in his welcome address, expressed gratitude for the historic visit and commended the Registrar for her leadership and dedication to engage directly with regional offices. He outlined some of the successes and challenges of the office, including staffing, logistics, and infrastructure, while also highlighting the team’s commitment to maintaining service excellence despite the constraints.

Mrs. Peprah in her address, acknowledged the issues raised and reaffirmed management’s commitment to resolving them. She announced that the new salary structure for staff is in progress and expected to be initiated soon. She further disclosed that the scheme of service has been approved by the Public Services Commission, laying a strong foundation for career development and progression within the ORC. Additionally, she said that the conditions of service for staff have been clearly outlined and that comprehensive training programmes will be rolled out to build capacity across all Directorates.

The RoC assured the staff that all concerns shared during the visit would be given the necessary attention and action. She encouraged them to remain committed to excellence and reminded them of the crucial role they play in facilitating business formalization and corporate governance in the country.

Staff of the Tamale office expressed appreciation for the visit and noted that the Registrar’s presence was a morale booster and a sign of the RoC’s resolve to ensure all offices are adequately supported.
