Sekondi Takoradi hosted the Acting Registrar of Companies, Mrs. Maame Samma Peprah (RoC) on the latest leg of the familiarization tour of the various Zonal Offices of the ORC.
The visit took place on Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 and the RoC was accompanied by the Deputy Registrar of Companies, Mr. Benjamin Zigorsh-Nyakpenu, Dr. Dennis Kyei Botwe (Head of Administration), Nana Afia Serwah Gyasi (Head of Human Resource) and Constance Adomaa Takyi (Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication) all management team members of the ORC.
Mrs. Peprah and the delegation had previously visited the Tamale, Sunyani and Kumasi zonal offices on 29th April, 13th April, and 14th May respectively.
The duty tour of the Zonal offices was intended to provide the RoC with the opportunity to assess the operational challenges faced by the Zonal offices and also interact with members of staff.
The visit was also part of efforts to strengthen engagements aimed at obtaining suggestions to improve service delivery.

Speaking at the staff durbar, Mrs. Peprah commended the zonal office for the level of professionalism exhibited, thanking both staff and management for the support accorded her upon her assumption of office. She also commended them for the prompt and professional approach in discharging their duties.
As part of her visit, Mrs. Peprah held a closed-door management meeting with the Zonal Registrar to discuss key operational issues, review performance metrics, and explore ways to improve coordination between the Zonal office and the Head Office
Earlier, the Zonal Registrar Mrs. Stella Ackwerh, welcomed the Registrar and her delegation to the zone, expressing gratitude for the visit. She outlined the achievements of the Zonal office, which included increased public engagement and improved service delivery to offices. Mrs. Ackwerh also pointed out some pressing logistical and infrastructural challenges. In response, Mrs. Peprah reaffirmed her commitment to building a motivated and well-supported workforce.
On his part, Mr. Zigorsh-Nyakpenu shared several institutional updates and forward-looking plans of the Management team. He revealed plans of establish satellite offices at the various regions, a move aimed at deepening decentralization and extending access to underserved areas.
He mentioned, that the long-awaited Scheme of Service for staff of the ORC has been approved by the Public Service Commission. This framework will guide recruitment, promotion, and career progression, ensuring a clear and fair path for all employees.
He stressed the need for staff to use their officially assigned corporate email addresses for all official communications. He emphasized that this would improve professionalism and accountability within the ORC as well as secure information dissemination.
