The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) will roll out a series of Business Registration and Sensitization Clinics in Wa and Navrongo as part of efforts to expand access to its services and deepen public awareness on the brand ORC and regulatory requirements.
The exercise, which forms part of ORC’s core mandate of public education, business registration and regulation, is aimed at bridging a long-standing service gap in the Upper West and Upper East Regions, where the Office currently has no satellite presence. This has made it difficult for residents and businesses in these areas to formally register and operate in full compliance with the law.

The first clinic will take place in Wa from Monday, April 20 to Friday, 24, 2026, at the forecourt of the Regional Coordinating Council. The team will then move to Navrongo for a second session scheduled from Monday, April 27 to Friday, May 1, 2026.
During the clinics, ORC officials will provide on-the-spot business registration services, compliance support, and advisory assistance to entrepreneurs, traders and the general public. Participants will also receive guidance on regulatory obligations under the Companies Act, helping them better understand the legal requirements for starting and managing a business in Ghana.
The initiative is designed to bring services closer to the people, particularly in underserved regions, while reducing the time and cost associated with travelling to access ORC offices. It is also expected to improve compliance levels and support the formalization of businesses within these local economies.

Beyond service delivery, the outreach will serve as a platform to strengthen ORC’s visibility and reinforce its role as a key institution supporting enterprise development and economic growth. By engaging directly with communities, the Office aims to build trust, demystify business registration processes, and encourage more individuals to operate within the formal sector.
This exercise represent a practical step toward inclusive service delivery, ensuring that no region is left behind in the national drive to promote responsible and legally compliant business operations.
